Here's a view I set up a while ago which tallies the number of ideas of some prolific bakers. click OK to set as one of your own views. [xaviergisz, Jun 30 2010]

Tally time. I have this vision of jutta with a big piece of chalk, and a very, very, very, large blackboard, crossing off in fives.
blissmiss, Jun 30 2010

There are about 40,000 ideas. I don't think the specific count matters particularly.
jutta, Jun 30 2010

I'd like a feature that colours in all the "o's", and can we have flower beds running along the bottom of the screen, and an animated gardener? A bee hive would be nice too. Badgers could come also out at night. I think that's everything, for now anyway.
xenzag, Jun 30 2010

I'd like to know how many good ideas there are here. Even if only 1% of posts could be reasonably referred to as "a good idea", that's still 400 good ideas.
wagster, Jun 30 2010

[jutta], can you add a checkbox to the filter that will limit results to good ideas?
swimswim, Jun 30 2010

You can filter ideas by votes. This doesn't mean they're 'good' but it does mean that they are popular, and that has always been far more important (you just have to think of certain politicians for evidence of this).
Jinbish, Jun 30 2010

Such a count includes only extant species, not the fossil record.
bungston, Jun 30 2010

It only took one good idea to produce electricity. (Why I said that, I do not know.)
blissmiss, Jun 30 2010

       40,000 ideas.....

So, supposing each idea took an average of 10 minutes to write, and that a further 10 minutes have been spent on writing and reading annotations, that amounts to 800,000 minutes 555.555555.... days, or 1.5220700152206 years.

       Which is interesting.
MaxwellBuchanan, Jun 30 2010

It took only one bad idea to produce [beanangel].

// I'd like to know how many good ideas there are here // // There are about 40,000 ideas //

Easy, [Wagster]. The answer is 40,000, minus however many ideas you've posted.

Actually, I'm not sure about an Idea Count. I think we should show a bit of class and appoint an Idea Tzar.

Given the number of viable commercial ideas here, there's probably a veritable fortune to be made from their implementation.
