Even though running on land offers better control, temperature extremes often require runners to use treadmills in the summer and winter. So why not design a battery-powered suit that heats and cools the head/body and also the breathing air (while filtering out pollutants and allergens as well) during runs. After all, merely dressing warm can lead to dangerous body temperature rises even in near-zero-degree weather. It would resemble a HazMat suit--perhaps a little less strange-looking--though such an accessory would surely be worth a fashion faux pas.

Why not power it with your motion? Idea! Have holes outlined with memory alloys, get hot? Holes get big. ( cold = small )
