My mother just told me about an empirical study (n=1) on which direction an individual turns upon walking into a toilet cubicle. A detailed study was proposed. But that is a digression not at all related to this idea.
Root vegetables such as carrots and potatoes are grown in soil in a raised bed.
When it is dinner time, the vegetables need to be lifted, and then they need to be cooked.
This idea simplifies the process.
Electrical elements like in an electric blanket are woven through the soil before the vegetables are planted.
The vegetables are grown as normal.
When dinner us being prepared, the elements can be switched on using a large and complex control panel mounted by the back door. Individual switches control small sections of the elements; dial gauges show current and temperature. Small signboards indicate what is currently in each section.
Half an hour at 100°C and the buzzer goes; LEDs blink around the perimeter of the cooked zone, guiding the butler to know where to dig in order to unearth the perfectly cooked hot sterilised produce, ready to carry to the table.

N=1 studies are great as a foundation to be able to say to the rest of the world "yur doin it rong!" |

Research questions include: is it consistent for an individual? If so is it heritable? Does it correlate with handedness, or cubicle geometry? |
|
|
Does it create, or is it controlled by, Coriolis forces? Do you have earthworms in your garden? |

re: cubicle
Thanks to you [pocmloc], I will be asking this question at the Pub Stage on this last day of Orillia's Mariposa Folk Festival (n=7000ish). Prediction: some whizbang will mime standing and turning to get to 'toward the hinges' per [marklar], so the observation is who, and how long that thinking process takes. |

re: compassionate vegetable execution
Needs countdown sonic indicator to drive earthworms and beneficial insects down/away/off/out of the electrocution zone. Obvious fail points, fatal water-feature interactions, potential for death and destruction: I'll allow it (+) |

+ I love this. So when I plant onions I will also bury a bouillon cube sealed in pot with a lid that will have an opening to fit a hose. When its time to cook, just add the water and make onion soup. Thank you. |
