Drivers on a freeway are often unaware when other more
environmentally-friendly means of transportation are even faster
than driving on a congested freeway, so a contiguous rope of
chasing LEDs installed alongside the freeway can represent the
speed of the average bicyclist or mass transit. These
lights would
be installed around cities that have alternatives to driving activate
when traffic reaches a certain speed at a frequently jammed part
of the city.

In Perth, the main freeway south of the city has a railway
line running down the middle of it, between the two
carriageways, so you can watch the actual trains going
past. And, yes, for some of its length there's also a
cycle path on each side, just beyond the slow lane. |

places where you can leave your car so then you
